Travelling and living in different countries such as the Czech Republic, Serbia, Türkiye, Montenegro, Russia and Italy, I became interested in all the little differences and details that make places and people unique. I’ve encountered people, animals and landscapes that changed and inspired me. 

Even when working in the field of professional or corporate photography, my wish is to look beyond the obvious and find the distinct details, the particular energy of a person, “the spark”. Almost invisible changes in facial expressions and gestures can say much more than words. I like to listen, observe and get to know the person in front of my camera, finding the beauty and uniqueness of every face I photograph. It makes me happy to help people express their own truth or vision through photography, and sometimes to reveal something about themselves that usually remains hidden or isn’t often seen.

When I am not behind the camera, I am spending time with my cats and dogs, and meeting other animals. They are one of the reasons I find this world beautiful: their honesty, freedom, kindness and capacity for love. I share my life with 11 cats and several dogs, and I adore every single animal. Discovering their personalities and also portraying them through photography brings me so much joy. Every animal is different, with its own character and way of being, and I believe they deserve more space in this world and more opportunities to be seen for who they really are and inspire all of us to be better.

Music also has a special place in my life. As a musician and a member of a metal band, I know what it means to perform live and tour. I’m familiar with the energy, the practicalities and the challenges of live events, but most of all, I love capturing the passion of performers on stage and those special moments that happen between musicians and their audience.

Different cultures, history and mythology are sources of inspiration for me. They often find their way into my personal artistic and experimental projects, where I explore historical and mythological motives – complex, ambivalent and passionate stories continue to fascinate me.
